Who should be the new face of the 10-dollar bill?
Surely you’ve heard by now that a woman’s face will grace the 10-dollar bill by 2020. If not, well, I’m telling you now. (More info here.)
Although it’s going to be a while before those bills go to print, I think it’s a pretty cool thing that the U.S. Department of the Treasury is doing.
This is a movie blog, after all, so I want to ask you this: which famous lady from film (or TV or pop culture) would you pick to be the face of your money? You can bend the official rules a little and choose any woman you’d like, living or dead. She has to be American, though.
My choice is pretty obvious:
Who would you like to carry around in your wallet? Would you like to pay for lunch with Katharine Hepburn or Miley Cyrus? Tell me in the comments!
Meryl Streep looks like she could really belong on a currency note. Jesus, she is THAT good! 😉 hmm…..if I could offer my second choice, it’d have to be Tanya Harding. I think that would be hilarious.

LOL. She’s the crazy skater, right?

Yes. Yes she is. A brief Google image search will surely make the potential 2020 ten dollar bill seem amazing.

Yes, of course. I mean, it’s not like these suggestions will actually be taken into account. So you can go as crazy as you like

What if it ends up being something lame like Hilary Clinton?

That won’t happen. Unless she dies before 2020 for some reason.

I would pay cash in Meryl dollars. Or Jack Nicholson dollars.

Oh wait a moment it has to be a woman’s face…never mind then. I choose Faye Dunaway, in that case. Or, again, Meryl.

I still can’t think of anyone who’d be worthy to be on the bill, most of my fave actresses are Brits, ahah. So I guess I’d go with Meryl Streep too, she’s the American ‘Dame’ 😀

What an awesome pick! Since Meryl is pretty much my fave American actress and all the other’s I love are British can I back up your pick? Or maybe Amy Poehler…

Monroe strikes me as the obvious choice. I can also really see Katherine Hepburn on the note too.

Is there a better living actress than Meryl Streep? She does look a natural fit on that bill.

Hopefully the next president will be able to make it happen. We know the current one is not a fan 😂
