Coming Attractions: The Skeleton Twins

Halfway through the year, some of the possible award contenders start making an appearance. One of those could be Craig Johnson’s The Skeleton Twins, which takes SNL alumni Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig on a more dramatic route than they’re accustomed to.

After ten years of estrangement, twins Maggie and Milo coincidentally cheat death on the same day, prompting them to reunite and confront how their lives went so wrong. As the twins’ reunion reinvigorates them both, they realize that the key to fixing their lives just may lie in fixing their relationship with each other.

Besides Hader and Wiig, the movie also stars Ty Burrell and Luke Wilson. Check out the trailer.

Another preview popping up on the web as of late is the very promising drama The Drop, directed by Michaël R. Roskam and starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, the late James Gandolfini, the underrated Matthias Schoenaerts (De Rouille et d’Os) and lots of dogs! For that one, I’m going to redirect you to my friend Andy’s online home, The Film Oracle. Click on the image below to watch!

So, what did you think of both trailers? Which has you the most excited? Tell me in the comments!
