Coming Attractions: This Is Where I Leave You
You guys, the cast for the upcoming This Is Where I Leave You… I can’t even.
Based on the novel by Jonathan Tropper, and adapted by Tropper himself, TIWILY sees four siblings that, when their father passes away, are forced to return to their childhood home and live under the same roof together for a week, along with their over-sharing mother and an assortment of spouses, exes and might-have-beens.
Tina Fey, the fantastic Corey Stoll (Midnight in Paris, House of Cards), Jason Bateman and Adam Driver (Girls; the upcoming What If and Star Wars VII) play the children of Jane Fonda. Joining them are Rose Byrne and Timothy Olyphant, among others.
The trailer doesn’t make the film seem uproariously funny (maybe they’re saving the best for the actual release, as they should) but I have faith. Check it out.
This Is Where I Leave You opens September 19th in Mexico, but curiously, there’s not a release date yet for the US at IMDb.
Yeah, the trailer is alright but because of the cast I totally have high hopes. Mainly I’m excited to see Corey Stoll post House of Cards.

The trailer does make it seem like a somewhat conventional romantic comedy, but you’re right. This cast is to die for. It should be a whole lot of fun. Bateman is drawing me the most to this, and Corey Stoll.

Stoll, Fey and Driver for me, but yeah, phenomenal group of actors. Hope it delivers.

The cast looks amazing. However, I’m not too intrigued with this trailer. Looks too hacky.

Hope the actual movie is good. Fingers crossed.

Wow that is quite a cast! Though I for one don’t get the fuss about Adam Driver, I saw him in a couple of things and didn’t think he’s all that memorable. But who knows maybe one day he’d wow me.

Well, apart from the tiny part in Inside Llewyn Davis, I’ve seen his work in the TV show Girls and I think he’s great there.
