There’s no such thing as too much Jared Leto

I’ve been having a very Jared Leto-filled week. First, I (and half the world’s population) saw him win an Oscar last Sunday for his performance as transgender AIDS patient Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club. Despite not actively rooting for him, being his fan for such a long time meant deep down I kinda wanted him to win, and I was glad when he did. It also helped that he gave a marvelous speech that made me well up a little bit. You can check that out here:

Now, I’m happy to share that yesterday I bought tickets to go see the Academy Award-winning Leto live on stage later this year, along with his band 30 Seconds to Mars.

Jared will visit the nearby city of Chula Vista, California on September 16th (it’ll be an awesome way to celebrate the 204th anniversary of Mexican independence) as part of the Carnivores Tour, co-headlined by Linkin Park and 30STM, with special guest AFI. I’m ecstatic for this sure-to-be-great concert; I can just imagine how my high-school self would’ve felt (I probably would’ve exploded back then).

His performances in Fight Club and Requiem for a Dream, as well as this killer song were responsible for me thinking Leto was the coolest guy ever. I still kinda do.

What are some of your favorite actor-musicians?
