Rock the vote!

Happy Monday, everybody! I realize that’s a bit of an oxymoron, haha, but I hope you’re having a great day. I certainly am, since I woke up to the exciting news that I’m a nominee in the second annual Golden Katz Awards, hosted by The Cinematic Katzenjammer!

I’m up for Best Commenter and Community Builder, so go here to vote for me (only if you think I’m the right choice, of course).

I have to say, I’m surprised by the nomination and very, very grateful for everyone that wrote in my name during the first round of voting. This means a lot and, while I hope I win, it really is an honor just to be nominated, especially alongside my friends Ruth and Joseph 🙂

Almost as cool as the Golden Katz is the EE Rising Star Award, bestowed by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). The nominees were announced a few hours ago and we, the public, decide the lucky recipient!

The winner of the EE Rising Star Award, which consists of actors and actresses who have “demonstrated exceptional talent” and are “destined to be bright stars in the future of cinema”, will be chosen by a public vote, running through February 14th.

This year’s nominees are Dane DeHaan (Kill Your Darlings), George MacKay (How I Live Now), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Will Poulter (We’re The Millers) and Léa Seydoux (Blue Is The Warmest Color).

Previous honorees include James McAvoy, Eva Green, Shia LaBeouf, Kristen Stewart, Tom Hardy and Juno Temple.
