Flash Review: This Is The End [2013]
Not as funny as the marketing campaign might’ve led you to believe, or as all the people involved in the film think they are (at least not all the time), This Is The End is just creative, crazy and random enough to ensure a fun 107 minutes of apocalyptic debauchery. Not memorable by any means, but how could you not have fun with this setup and a cast so diverse?
You and I are again on the same wavelength with this film, Fernando. Really don’t need to see this again soon.

Glad we are! It’s fun but not memorable at all.

As funny as you’re going to get from a comedy this whole year. Good review Fernando.

Thanks. Does that mean the rest of the year doesn’t bode well for comedies.
I didn’t find this one evry funny, so if this is “as funny as we’re going to get”, I’m worried, haha.

Apocalyptic debauchery? Well that’s another reason I had no desire to check this out. I’m not fond of the cast either Fernando, sorry!

It’s OK! I can understand why. I like them but they’re convinced they’re way funnier than they really are.

Really love the cast, but I’m not an overly huge fan of comedies. Great write-up Fernando!

I agree, it’s funny enough but far too long!

Didn’t feel it was THAT long, though, but only barely funny.

Really? I laughed more at this movie than any other this year. Funniest comedy of 2013. Oops! wait I forgot about Despicable Me 2. Never mind. 😉

Haven’t seen DM2, nor I plan to, but I just didn’t find this one as funny as it could’ve been.

Spot on here for me. It was pretty funny in places but a lot of the jokes wore thin after a while and I agree, these people aren’t as funny as they think they are.

nice review. am still deciding on whether to see this on pay per view. am not a big fan of any of the cast, but have enjoyed some of their movies . for example, i found pineapple express, Superbad, and Land of the Lost quite funny in moments. but most of their other movies, not really.

Yeah, I quite like some of their filmography but this is definitely not a highlight. There was so much potential but in the end it fell short. It’s a rental.
