Flash Review: The Conjuring [2013]
A cliché-free horror movie is as rare as a four-leaf clover, and while The Conjuring doesn’t quite get it right in that respect, it does succeed in giving us an involving, entertaining chiller, one with the right tone, visuals and score, but most importantly, a magnificent cast displaying a level of talent not commonly associated with the genre. One of the best movies of the summer and completely worth the price of admission, even if you’re not a horror buff. Getting creeped out hadn’t been this fun in a while.
Not very scary, but still a bunch of fun if this is your type of thing. Good review.

I had fun with this but it was just a little too formulaic for me. Great performances helped it though.

I know, right? This is above the average for horror, mainly because of its talented cast.

If I could quote Michael Stipe “I’m not scared, I’m out of here”

LOL. I never factor that in because horror movies never scare me.

Any horror movie that places creepy mood over outright gore is already ahead of the game in my book. This wasn’t the most original horror, but it was entertaining. I’m very much in the same camp as you on this one.

Great review Fernando. Short and sweet, I like it! Plus I agree — the film showed a level of acting sorely missing in most horrors these days.
