You will be bored stiff. I was very excited, and I’m warning you, I was ready to leave the theater an hour through. It makes less than two hours feel like over three.

My mother had to go and see it with me at the uniplex a half hour away because it was rated R, and she really had no desire. I feel really guilty now. Not only should I have told her that she could’ve gone around the city and given her money back when they mistakenly announced it as “not rated,” I could’ve gone with her. Or just gone home. The movie was beautiful, but I’d have rather taken a nap in the theater.

I was under the impression she really enjoyed The Tree of Life. It was a religious movie, in some way…and she’s a religious person…

My #1 and #2 movies of the year so far (Mud and To the Wonder) and a sci-fi flick I had fun with. Good week for DVD.
