Flash Review: World War Z [2013]
World War Z is not a bad film, as its infinite production woes might’ve led you to believe. It, in fact, is a very entertaining action thriller with an exhilarating first half and a solid central performance by Brad Pitt, who you totally buy as a UN employee. However, the denouement provided zero closure and little thrills. Did they really spend extra dollars and delay the release so they could shoot that shameless Pepsi comercial and anticlimactic ending?
Completely agree. Definitely better than I thought it would be but like you said, the ending kind of underwhelmed.

I know, right? It may be the apocalypse, but they have enough diet pepsi to last! π

I really like this film and gave it high marks. I actually like the ambiguous ending. It clearly shows that things aren’t won and done. Plus you have the lingering high-stakes from the decision that was made. I thought leaving it open like that was pretty effective.

Could have been a lot worse, but dropped the ball in the last act. Nice review.

Hi Fernando, glad to hear that despite all the production woes that the film still delivers.

Still not seen this but despite the slightly lukewarm response from a lot of people, I still want to see it.

You could do a lot worse. It sort of deflates towards the end, but the first hour or so is amazing.

I forgot about the βPepsi commercial.β Yeah that was unfortunate. LOL But overall I enjoyed this too.

This film made me so anxious that it was almost not enjoyable. Bunch of amateurs walking around making loads of noise. Seriously, there are zombies around! Shut the flip up! It stressed me out but I still liked it! Glad you did too.

LOL, you’re right! That is not how I’d carry myself during a zombie outbreak π Glad to hear you had fun, though.
