ParaNorman [2012]

A rather slight story and issues with pacing are somewhat annoying but certainly not enough to greatly hinder the impressive experience that is ParaNorman.
Like the younger cousin of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline, ParaNorman is creepy, visually striking fun for horror hounds, young and old, as well as people with a taste for the dark in their films.
Based on a smarter-than-average (at least in its genre) script by Chris Butler (who co-directs with Sam Fell) and brought to life by the talents of some of today’s best animators and actors, this is a fun, touching and visually arresting film that shouldn’t be missed.
Totally agree mate, I enjoyed this and thought the animation was top notch. Probably just behind Frankenweenie for my animated film of the year.

Thanks, Chris. I’ve yet to see Frankenweenie but I’m really looking forward to it.
