From and Inspired By: Bond, James Bond

I’m not a Bond connoisseur, but I really enjoy Daniel Craig’s stint as the agent, especially Casino Royale, my second (and best) experience with 007.

Like that movie defied many of the now 50 year-old saga’s conventions, Chris Cornell’s theme song dared to sound different from all the tunes that preceded it.

It’s no secret I’m a fan of Cornell. His voice is, without a doubt, one of the finest sounds my ears have ever perceived and some of his songs, particularly with Audioslave, give me chills every time.

So, it should come as no surprise, then, that hisΒ “You Know My Name” is my favorite Bond theme song so far (Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds are Forever” and Adele’s “Skyfall” are close behind).

So, in honor of Bond Month and the upcoming release of the 23rd film in the series, Skyfall, please enjoy the fantastic intro for 2006’s Casino Royale, set to Cornell’s rockin’ Bond theme.
