From and Inspired By: Hans Zimmer
Hans Zimmer, the renowned German composer, turns 55 today. Zimmer has won multiple awards across the globe, including an Oscar, and he has scored many of the best films in recent years, such as The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight and, my personal favorite, Inception. Happy birthday, Mr. Zimmer.
Did you know that the booming sound at the beginning of this track are the first notes of Edith Piaf’s Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien super slowed-down?
Great post, I loved the way he mixed Piaf into the music, amazing music.

A fine composer indeed Fernando. I’ll be doing a little birthday post myself in a few days. Nice one bro. Excellent little piece of trivia here as well. (you know how I like my trivia ;-))

I love ZImmer’s work and this Inception one is one of my faves. Curious to see what he’d do w/ the Superman reboot!

One of my all time favourite film composers. Gladiator is my most loved of his work. But his whole body of work is astounding.
