     My favorite Hitch film is North By Northwest, closely followed by Psycho.

       Good choice. I actually watched North By Northwest on his birthday as it’s my Static Mass review for next week 🙂

       Personally, I struggled with Psycho my first time around so am looking forward to re-watching it to see if I get along with it any better. My top Hitch movies are Vertigo and Rear Window, but also have soft spots for things like Shadow of a Doubt, Strangers on a Train, and The Lady Vanishes. Still have a few biggies to catch up with like Notorious and Spellbound.

       Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t hate Psycho or anything, I just found it engaging and thus hard-going. I’m well aware that there’s a lot I should have been admiring technically but it just didn’t grip me like I had thought that it would.

       Yeah, Rope’s quite good; wouldn’t be at the top of my Hitch list though.

       Yeah, I wouldn’t place it in my Top 5 either but I love the way it was shot and I really liked Jimmy Stewart in it.

       Hopefully you’ll warm up to Psycho with further viewings.

   Hey you changed your theme, cool! You’re forgetting ‘Spellbound,’ that movie holds a special place in my heart 🙂 I still have a lot of Hitch to catch up on, esp. Vertigo. It’s not always foolproof though, I wasn’t impressed by To Catch a Thief.

     And yes, I know I’m missing many of Hitch’s classics, but I wanted to list just the ones I’ve seen. I still have a lot of catching up to do, just like you. I also didn’t love To Catch a Thief but it’s good nonetheless.

   Shamefully, I haven’t seen many Hitchcock films. This is certainly something I need to change! I love Psycho and The Birds though so I’m sure I’ll enjoy his other work. Also looking forward to his portrayal in the forthcoming biopic. Great post as always!
