The Whistleblower [2010]
I was ready to jump to this movie’s defense, and to attack the people that have ignored it for more than a year but I now understand why it’s fallen completely off the radar since opening in 2010. It is so boring! The Whistleblower is a complicated mess. Basically, it’s a cross between an extremely violent TV movie and a stuffy documentary: informative but not especially entertaining. The reason this film came to my attention in the first place was the outstanding performance from Rachel Weisz, one of the few redeeming qualities of this dull drama.
I hadn’t heard much about this, but I’d certainly heard of it. Sounds disturbing and dull. I’ll skip it.

Then I’d best not see it. I’ll be watching Slumdog Millionaire this weekend for the second time in a long time and SBS is publishing my review on Tuesday.
